French Favourite

When I escaped on a long break over the Royal Wedding weekend, I was introduced by my lovely godmother/aunt to a beautiful French film, Amélie or as it was originally known, Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain. Not your typical romance film I will assure you. Believe me, I hate romance! Ha!

Amélie is the film that brought fame to Audrey Tatou. Since this exquisite actress has starred in The Da Vinci Code, Priceless and played the beloved Coco in Coco before Chanel.

Overall Amélie earned 6 film awards, and they sure deserved them. The plot is fun; Amélie is meddling in her companions lives to try help people find love, live a little more and appreciate what they have. Along the way she finds herself love.

I really enjoyed this film despite it being a "romance", it was a great laugh and the actors captured the characters at their best. I so recommend this film.

Love.
